George Gideon Oliver Osborne, CH, PC (born Gideon Oliver Osborne; 23 May 1971) is a British Conservative Party politician, who has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Tatton since June 2001. Under the premiership of David Cameron, from 2010 to 2016, Osborne served as Chancellor of the Exchequer. In March 2017, it was announced that he would become editor of the London Evening Standard.
