Venom is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, it is intended to be the first film in Sony's Marvel Universe adjunct to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
