The Alliance of American Football (AAF) is a professional American football league founded by Charlie Ebersol and Bill Polian. It opened play on February 9, 2019, one week following the National Football League's Super Bowl LIII championship game. The AAF consists of eight centrally owned and operated teams.

Cunanan's string of murders ended on July 23 of that year with his suicide by firearm.
