2020 coronavirus pandemic in Australia

The first known Australian cases in the 2019–20 coronavirus outbreak were reported in January 2020. Australians were amongst the passengers aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship that was quarantined in Japan in early February. Despite government efforts to contain the virus, it continues to spread.
